Dennis Malamatinas, '79 Former Global CEO, Burger King
Dennis started his global career with brand and general management positions at The Procter&Gamble Company in Switzerland , France and UK , before taking on progressively more senior positions at PepsiCo ( Regional VP for Middle East and Chairman & CEO of PepsiCo Italy ), Global CEO of Smirnoff Vodka (world's largest alcoholic beverage brand), President Diageo Plc of the Asia-Pacific region, Global CEO of Burger King Corp ( 12,000 restaurants and $12B system sales at the time) and Founding Chairman & CEO of Priceline Europe.
Dennis has served on several global Boards as a Director or Chairman, such as Diageo PLC (executive director), Reuters PLC (non-executive director), Chairman of Saxo Bank, Chairman of Metro International and others.
He is currently an Industrial Advisor to EQT, a member of the Board at MidOcean Partners, Chairman of FocusVision, Chairman of IBANFIRST, and Chairman of LIQID.
Born in Tanzania, Dennis has lived in nine countries, speaks English, French, Italian, Greek and some Spanish, and in 1997, he was appointed as one of the five founding members of President Clinton's Welfare to Work Partnership.
Dennis earned his BS in International Finance and Economics with Honors from Roosevelt University in Chicago, and his MBA from Chicago Booth.
