I knew that I wanted to do an MBA program that would provide me with global exposure, that would be able to expand my networks on a global basis, and that'd also be able to expose me to a global way of doing things in terms of business. And for me, Booth ticked all of those.

London is a hugely significant city in the world of business. It is a center of trade, a center of finance, one of the most important business cities in the world, one of the most cosmopolitan cities in the world. Our goal for being in Europe was to try to have worldwide impact.

I live in Johannesburg, South Africa, so I commute to London for classes. Classes normally begin on a Monday and end on Saturday. I take an overnight flight from Johannesburg on Saturday night. I'm able to rest on Sunday, and I'm ready for class on Monday.

The London-based cohort is quite a diverse cohort. We've got people from North Africa, we've got people from the Middle East, we've got people from countries like France, Switzerland.

At Booth, we are connected. Every morning when I wake up, I have over 400 messages in my WhatsApp. We discuss business deals all over the world. We discuss business ideas.

My favorite thing about the MBA experience has been the networks. I've met a lot of very interesting people: people that have challenged me to think differently, people from different walks of life. We have students from different parts of the world, different backgrounds, different gender, and for me, being able to engage those people not only in a classroom environment, but socially as well, really has been the best part of the Booth experience.
