The International Student Orientation, occurring before Orientation+ begins, is a one-day session that provides an opportunity for Chicago Booth’s international community to get a sneak-peek at the many resources available to them at Chicago Booth. Students will learn more about support and offerings from Chicago Booth’s Student Life, Career Services, and Academic Services teams, as well as the University of Chicago’s Office of International Affairs. Students will also have the opportunity to meet and socialize with their new classmates.
The largest student-led conference at Chicago Booth, the Emerging Markets Summit gathers professionals from around the globe for discussions about how governments and corporations are going to navigate an uncertain future.
Chicago Booth alumni regularly host small-group, informal meetups at coffee shops and other locations to connect with prospective students.
We offer a variety of scholarships and other funding opportunities to help bring a Booth MBA within reach for international students. For instance, our Global Innovator Fellowships support Full-Time MBA students from any country who aspire to use their Booth MBA to challenge the status quo in developing markets, in underserved industries, or with marginalized individuals. The Chicago Booth MBA degree is designated STEM-eligible for Optional Practical Training (OPT) purposes. International graduates on F-1 student visas who earn a Chicago Booth MBA may be eligible to apply for an additional 24 months of training through work experience.

The Graduate Business Council’s International Committee’s purpose is to strengthen the international community and integration into the greater Booth network.
