Join us for a presenation on Higher Dimensions of Returns and Smart Beta with Dr Peng Chen, Chief Executive Officer, Asia, Dimensional Fund Advisors Pte Ltd.
In this presentation, we will go over the three key aspects of incorporating dimensions of higher returns into equity portfolio management – economic foundation; empirical evidence; market implementation. We will pay special attention to the various phases that translate research into portfolio management, including trading. We will also discuss and compare dimensions of higher return with several popular smart beta strategies.

Dr Peng Chen (Speaker)
Chief Executive Officer, Asia, Dimensional Fund Advisors Pte Ltd
Dr Peng Chen is currently the Chief Executive Officer, Asia (Ex Japan) at Dimensional Fund Advisors Pte Ltd. He is responsible for all aspects of Dimensional's Asian business: develop and manage the business strategy; establish operations in Asia, including business development, client service, marketing, portfolio management, trading, and operations; recruited team members internally and externally. In addition, Dr Chen helps to advice and set strategies for global defined contribution initiatives.
Prior to Dimensional Fund Advisors, Dr Chen was the President, Global Investment Management Division at Morningstar Investment Service Inc. He was responsible for all aspects of Morningstar's global investment management and consulting businesses, which consisted of the following subsidiaries Ibbotson Associates (U.S., Japan, and Australia); Morningstar Associates (U.S., Canada, Europe, Korea); Morningstar Investment Services (U.S.); SeedsFinance (Paris); OBSR (London).
Dr Chen holds a bachelor's degree in industrial management engineering from Harbin Institute of Technology and a master's degree and doctorate degree in consumer economics from Ohio State University. He also holds the chartered financial analyst (CFA) designation.
