Our speaker this month is Kash Rehman, Founder and CEO of Foodem. Foodem is a B2B online wholesale food marketplace that focuses on the $650 billion a year US food distribution industry and connects food distributors, farms and specialty food manufacturers with food buyers, such as restaurants, schools, hospitals, etc. Foodem also enables the sustainable food movement by satisfying the growing business demand for more local, sustainably-produced, and healthier food choices in restaurants and institutions. It was launched in public Beta in the Washington DC Metropolitan area in November, 2010.
