However, under the highly challenging circumstances of the COVID-19 pandemic, women face additional challenges in the workplace. Join the Chicago Booth Finance Roundtable in a discussion with two women leaders from the CME groups about how they influence and impact during their roles and get ready for top positions. We will also hear their advice on how to navigate the career paths and stay relevant, especially in today's environment.

Julie Holzrichter (Panelist)

Julie Holzrichter has served as Chief Operating Officer of CME Group since 2014. She is responsible for leading CME Group's Market Operations including the Global Command Center, which is the first point of contact for customers using CME Group's Globex electronic production systems. She also leads CME Group's Trading Floor Operations, Global Market Solutions and Services, Data Centers and Critical Infrastructure, Global Security, and Business Continuity and Crisis Management functions. Given her role, Holzrichter is a leading voice on regulatory issues affecting CME Group markets and market participants.
Over the course of more than 25 years with the company, Holzrichter has held a variety of positions with increasing levels of responsibility including Senior Managing Director, Global Operations and Managing Director, CME Globex Services and Technology Integration. As part of her responsibilities, Holzrichter led the integration of CME Group's operations following the acquisitions of CBOT, NYMEX and NEX Group Plc.
In addition to serving on CME Group's Management Team, Holzrichter has served on DePaul University's Finance Advisory Board. She is a member of the Futures Industry Association (FIA), Women In Listed Derivatives (WILD), ChicagoFirst, CME Group Women's Initiative Network (WIN) and The National Association of Professional Women (NAPW).
Holzrichter attended DePaul University and the University of Illinois at Chicago. She was recognized as DePaul's Financial Woman of the Year in 2015 and was included in Crain's Chicago Business 40 Under 40 in 2008. In 2016, she was named as one of the "Most Powerful and Influential Women" by the Illinois Diversity Council.
Julie Winkler (Panelist)
Chief Commercial Officer, CME Group

Julie Winkler serves as Chief Commercial Officer of CME Group. She leads the company's sales, market data, product marketing, research and product development, data analytics and digitization functions, as well as its innovation lab. Previously, she served as Senior Managing Director, Research, Product Development and Index Services of CME Group since 2014 and as Managing Director, Research and Product Development since 2007.
Winkler joined the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) as a Staff Investigator in the Office of Investigations and Audits, and in 1998, she joined the Business Development area as an Economist in the Research and Strategic Analysis group. She was promoted to Managing Director, Business Development in 2004. She also served as Vice President, Business Development, where she had management responsibility for the growth and development of the Financial Product Research and Development, Market Data Products and Services, Training and Education, Corporate Strategy and Business Development Administration areas.
Winkler holds a bachelor's degree in business administration in finance from Valparaiso University and an MBA in finance and derivatives markets with highest honors from Loyola University. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for S&P Dow Jones Indices LLC and Valparaiso University. She also is a Revenue 50 member within the World 50 network.
