We are honored to host Professor Emir Kamenica as our faculty guest speaker. Professor Kamenica's research focuses in behavioral and experimental economics and applied theory. A recipient of the 2013 Alfred P. Sloan Research Fellowship, he is a graduate of the Paideia School (Atlanta) and earned a PhD in economics in 2006 and a bachelor's degree in applied mathematics in 2001, from Harvard University.
Professor Kamenica will speak on "the economics of drama" exploring "a framework that unifies the analysis of sports, mystery novels, casino gambling and voter ignorance".

Emir Kamenica studies a variety of topics in applied microeconomics, including the design of informational environments, and dating and marriage markets. He is a recipient of the 2013 Alfred P. Sloan Research Fellowship.He earned a PhD in economics in 2006 and a bachelor's degree in applied mathematics in 2001, both from Harvard University.
