As one of the premiere business schools in the world with a faculty and alumni group that have won more Nobel Prizes that any other institution, the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, Black Alumni Association is honored to host its 2nd Annual Black History Month awards program to recognize outstanding business and community leaders.
This program has been created to honor outstanding business & community leaders that have not only had a positive impact on the African American community but have helped the American economy and mankind. Two of the honoree to be recognized that evening include:
Eric Johnson, President/CEO Baldwin Richardson Foods, Chicago Booth Graduate
Baldwin Richardson Foods Company is a production and manufacturing company of top quality, premium brands with annual sales of over $69.9 million. In 1992, Baldwin Ice Cream Company was purchased by Eric Johnson. Later, Baldwin Ice Cream Co., merged with Richardson Foods in the 1997 acquisition of the liquid products division of Quaker Oats. Since the acquisition, Baldwin Richardson Foods Co., has seen annual sales leap from $3 million to over $69 million. Baldwin Richardson Foods Co. produces and manufactures three historic brands: Baldwin Ice Cream, Mrs. Richardson's Dessert Toppings, and Nance's Mustards and Condiments.
