Prospective students who are veterans are invited to join us for our annual Veterans Outreach event at Booth LIVE, which provides an overview of Chicago Booth’s supportive culture and diverse perspectives.
This annual marquee event brings MBA student and alumni veterans together to celebrate the Armed Forces community. The event includes a traditional military banquet, an address by a guest speaker, and a networking reception with alumni and corporate representatives.

Chicago Booth is delighted to participate in the Yellow Ribbon Program, an enhancement of the Post 9-11 Veterans Educational Assistance Act of 2008, which allows institutions of higher learning in the United States to fund tuition expenses that exceed the highest public in-state undergraduate tuition rate. Yellow Ribbon awards are not scholarships and are available to all veterans of the United States at Chicago Booth who qualify under the VA guidelines.
This full-tuition fellowship is awarded to a Full-Time MBA student who served, or is currently serving, in the US military. Students must demonstrate outstanding leadership, academic and extracurricular achievements, and a commitment to advancing the interests of those having served in the military.
Chicago Booth waives the application fee for all US military applicants. You may also be eligible for application mentoring and other resources through the student-led Armed Forces Group.
Through the support of alumni such as Eric Gleacher, ’67, and the Harper Family Foundation, Chicago Booth is committed to funding Yellow Ribbon and other merit awards for military service members.

Open to MBA students who are current and former members of the US and international armed services, the Armed Forces Group is committed to building a strong professional network, preparing students for the recruiting process, and assisting prospective military candidates with the Booth application process.
Designed for Evening and Weekend MBA students, the Armed Forces Group seeks to build esprit de corps and a strong professional network of Booth alumni and current students with previous military experience. The group offers career coaching, resume workshops, interview preparation, and more.
