How Robots Damaged the American DreamAn American Economic Association survey, which drew 9,000 responses from current and former members, indicates there is widespread discrimination in the profession. Among the findings: nearly half of women reported having been discriminated against on the basis of sex, compared to 3 percent of men. Chicago Booth’s Marianne Bertrand headed a committee that oversaw the survey, which was administered by the National Opinion Research Center at the University of Chicago.
