2017 Global Issues in Accounting Conference
Past decades have seen significant growth in international financial market integration and a corresponding increase in the importance of understanding the interactions among disparate political and economic institutions. Researchers in accounting, finance, and economics each focus on different aspects of these global issues. The purpose of this conference is to bring together researchers working in these fields to engage in a collaborative discussion of global capital markets research.
As of 2014, the Initiative on Global Markets at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and the University of North Carolina Kenan-Flagler School of Business have joined forces to host the Global Issues in Accounting Conference. The conference will be held in the Harper Center at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business on September 22–23, 2017. The conference will begin after lunch on September 22 and end midday on September 23.
Attendance for this conference is by invitation only.
