Healthcare Analytics Lab Winter 2024 Project Showcase

Healthcare Scholar in Residence

Dr. Soroush Saghafian, Associate Professor at Harvard, will be visiting Booth in November. He focuses on developing and applying operations research, management science, and operations management methods to generate meaningful public benefits. He is the founder and director of the Public Impact Analytics Science Lab (PIAS-Lab) at Harvard, dedicated to advancing analytics to address societal challenges with broad public impact. While at Booth he will be presenting, “Making AI Impactful in Healthcare”.

The Healthcare Analytics Laboratory recruits PhD students, MD students, residents, and MBA students with significant content expertise in healthcare to join the Lab as mentors, research assistants, and content experts.

Research Assistant (pre-doctoral)

The Healthcare Initiative and Professor Matt Notowidigdo are looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual to work as full-time research assistant for a period of at least one year. The preferred start date is July 1, 2025 although an earlier or later start is possible. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis; the initial full review will be February 17, 2025.

Healthcare Fellowship

The Booth Healthcare Fellowship is awarded each year to select incoming Full-Time MBA students with backgrounds in a care provider role (e.g. MD, RN, Social work in a healthcare setting).

The aim of the program is to provide tuition support, foster community among the Fellows, and provide additional access or support. Such areas of support include one-on-one conversations with distinguished speakers at events sponsored or co-sponsored by the Healthcare Initiative, covered fees for the annual Booth student-led Healthcare Conference and more programming.
