The Fama-Miller Research Development Fellowship was established to recognize and provide support to an exceptional entering 3rd or 4th year Booth Finance or Joint Program PhD student. The Fellow is expected to lead the weekly FMC Research Professional seminar, guiding the discussions during the seminar, and providing feedback to the presenter afterwards.  The Fellow  is selected annually by the faculty directors and staff of the Fama-Miller Center.

Lauren Mostrom

Lauren Mostrom is a rising fourth-year PhD student in the finance program. She earned a BA from Wellesley College with a double major in economics and classical studies. Prior to her time at Booth, Lauren worked as a research assistant at the Boston Fed and Harvard Business School. Her research interests lie at the intersection of corporate and public finance, with her current work addressing the impact of public procurement on firm dynamics and transmission of fiscal policy. She has worked as a teaching assistant for Christina Patterson and Joe Vavra and served as an organizer of the finance brownbag series. Outside of academics, Lauren is passionate about craft beer, hiking, and road trips, especially when she can bring her dog.
