Date: October 10, 2024
Time: 12:00-1:00 pm

The last five years have seen an extraordinary set of actions by central banks, including zero and negative interest rates, yield curve control, unprecedented asset purchase, changing policy frameworks and new communications strategies. What have we learned from this period and what does it imply for the conduct of monetary policy going forward. Ben Broadbent, former Deputy Governor for Monetary Policy at the Bank of England, and Professor Anil Kashyap held a conversation on the state of central banking, followed by a question and answer period.
The talk was sponsored by the Clark Center for Global Markets.
This event was in person only.
