A host of extraordinary events in recent years have put the Federal Reserve at the center of a number of policy debates. Charles Evans, former President of the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago and Visiting Senior Research Associate at Clark Center for Global Markets at Chicago Booth, discussed the leading issues facing the Fed, including the lessons for the central bank regarding inflation, bank supervision and the support for financial markets. The conversation was moderated by Anil Kashyap, co-director of the Clark Center.
