Participate in the Leadership Alliance
In partnership with the Leadership Alliance—a national consortium designed to increase participation of underrepresented minority groups in higher levels of education and research—UChicago offers a rigorous summer research experience for undergraduates interested in pursuing a PhD or MD/PhD.
Participants in the Alliance’s Summer Research Early Identification Program (SR-EIP) conduct independent research projects for nine weeks under the guidance of a research mentor. Students also participate in research seminars and professional development workshops and present their research at a national conference.
