Press Releases University of Chicago Graduate China Forum to address issues in business, technology, healthcare

“U.S.-China Dialogue in an Era of Transformation” is the theme of The University of Chicago Graduate China Forum 2018 on Saturday, April 7 at Ida Noyes Hall on the campus of the university.

Established in 2015, the forum is designed to promote global understanding of China and address pressing issues and future trends in business and academics. This year’s forum is coordinated by University of Chicago Booth School of Business students along with other graduate school students and features renowned scholars, senior government officials, entrepreneurs and senior executives from China and the U.S. who will discuss and analyze global opportunities and challenges facing China and the U.S. Topics range from fintech and economics to healthcare, technology and private equity.  

Keynote speakers are Balaji Srinivasan, University of Chicago Vice President for Global Initiatives and Strategy and Senior Associate Provost; Xiangyan Song, Chief Representative, People’s Bank of China for Americas; and the Honorable Lei Hong, Consul General of People’s Republic of China to Chicago. Featured panels include an economics discussion between Charles Evans, the President and CEO of the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, and Lars Peter Hansen, the David Rockefeller Distinguished Service Professor at the University of Chicago.

In addition to keynote addresses, there will be five panel discussions on the following topics, each featuring leaders in the industry.

The University of Chicago Graduate China Forum is one of the most important student-run forums in the Midwest. It aims to promote international collaboration in business and academia by inviting distinguished leaders worldwide to discuss contemporary global issues and share their rich experiences and unique insights.
