How did you thrive in the Chicago Winter?

a student faces the camera

- [Interviewer] How did you thrive

in Chicago's winter?

- How did I survive?

(jaunty music)

- Actually, for me,
Chicago winter is amazing.

- All my biases, coming from LA.

I thought I was literally
entering the tundra.

So I actually don't
think winter's that bad.

- Layers, layers, layers,
layers, and layers.

That's five layers.

- Well, I have a very
extensive hat collection.

- Good shoes, scarves, gloves.

- I'm usually not.

Because I'm a guy that just

wears leather jackets,

even when it's like -15 Celsius.

- I thrive with getting a lot of sunshine,

so I try to be in the Winter Garden

as much as possible.

- So this was the first
time I was saw snow.

So I just saw all the snow

when I went out of my Uber.

Went back outside, and just like,

threw myself into the snow.

- Socialize with friends,

and it doesn't really matter

what the weather is outside.

As long as you have good company.

- Chicago makes the most of it, for sure.

Convinced that winter is when you'd like to visit campus? If so, please note that the Harper Center, including the Full-Time MBA Admissions Office, is closed to visitors from Monday, December 23 - Friday, January 27 and again on January 1 (New Year's Day). While you're busy preparing your materials for the Round 2 Application deadline on January 7, we will be accessible via email at admissions@chicagobooth.edu should you have any questions.

As Boothies head into finals and prepare for some well-deserved time off this holiday season, it's certainly quieter around the Harper Center. So, if you're planning to visit campus be aware that students are away until early January. Visitors will be welcome for the full Campus Visit Program starting the week of January 13, 2020. In the meantime, there are several student-hosted events happening around the world that we hope you will consider joining.
