Booth doesn't make you conform in any way. We all share this passion of learning and exploring the world. That really brings us all together. I'm from Greenville, South Carolina. I decided to come to the big city. I worked in consulting here in Chicago for four years. I have a huge passion for food. I've loved cooking my whole life, reading recipes, going to new restaurants.

I really want to work in brand management, specifically for food and beverage companies. I'm a career switcher and I wanted to do marketing. I had just so many different things helping me along the way. There's Career Services, which is really great at helping just an overview of how the process works, they have great relationships with a lot of companies. The Marketing Group was huge in helping me get my internship. For interviews, everyone was prepping together and they were just really great at giving me advice, supporting me all the way until I got the offer.

The Kilts Center held a ton of events throughout the year. They also have this mentoring program. The head of marketing for Tootsie Roll, he literally contacts me every couple of weeks. He wanted to know how my internship recruit is going, he gave me tips. That was a huge resource. People are just really tied to this community.

I was part of the Epicurean Club this year. We have 300 members. The purpose of it is to bring Booth people together and have them explore what Chicago has to offer. It's obviously a great school and a great city. There's so many different varied backgrounds, but also so many different things that people want to do. Everyone here just seems really excited to be here and excited to do great things with their life.
