Why did you choose to pursue your MBA at Chicago Booth?

Booth seems like a perfect balance of the structure and flexibility that I need at this stage in my career. I am keen on furthering my understanding of the evolving innovative finance and social enterprise space while also focusing on leadership development that will allow me to build upon my existing experience in non-profit strategy and growth. Given the incredible work being done at the Rustandy Center and Harry L. Davis Center for Leadership, the Booth MBA is a great mix of both theoretical and practical learning opportunities.

What skills are you looking to develop at Booth and implement into your social impact work?

The last 8 years at Pratham exposed me to the operations and resourcing of a large non-profit. Going forward, I am keen on tackling some of the critical challenges that we have faced in mobilizing capital, innovating programs, and building resources. I am most keen on engaging with the work being done at the Rustandy Center to understand motivations behind giving and volunteering and the efficacy of tools like impact bonds that are important for the development sector at large.

What are your career aspirations?

I am invested in building organizational resilience through flexible capital to drive innovation, scale, and investment in talent within Pratham and hope to continue steering partnerships and collaborations for Pratham with individuals and institutions to enable this. My long-term goal is to lead a nonprofit affecting change through community owned, impact driven programs that are capable of building foundational literacy and 21st century skills across India and the Global South.
