Why did you choose to pursue your MBA at Chicago Booth?

I chose to pursue my MBA at Booth because of its strong social impact programming. I am excited to learn from leaders in social impact through the diverse and comprehensive mission-focused courses available at Booth, as well as project-based learning opportunities.I am eager to become a Board Fellow and gain insights into nonprofit governance, benefit from faculty support, and hear from leaders working to solve today's most pressing issues.

What skills are you looking to develop at Booth and implement into your social impact work?

Running a nonprofit is hard. At Booth, I seek to strengthen my quantitative analysis, organizational and financial management, and leadership capabilities to become a leader in the nonprofit space. I aim to leave Booth with the skills necessary to one day lead a nationally impactful organization with both purpose and direction.

What are your career aspirations?

At Booth and immediately after, I plan to explore careers in philanthropy and nonprofit consulting, where I can strengthen my ability to map strategic direction, manage organizational finances, and understand how diverse public interest organizations can work together to create large, meaningful changes. With the fluency in policy and organizational skills I gain from these experiences, I hope to become an executive at a direct-service nonprofit that offers wide-ranging programming to address the root causes and alleviate the symptoms of intergenerational poverty.
