Why did you choose to pursue your MBA at Chicago Booth?

Throughout my professional journey, I have had a front row seat to several poster children of broken government systems, notably Cook County’s regressive property tax system and America’s unjust criminal justice system. A Booth MBA will provide me the skills, perspectives, and network to make these systems work better, especially for the most vulnerable people.

What skills are you looking to develop at Booth and implement into your social impact work?

As I grow and work towards my goals, I identified gaps that prevent me from making the greatest impact possible: I need to become fluent in the language of finance and operations, be able to engage and analyze fiscal and financial questions, better understand how to manage processes and talent, and have a general framework for addressing enterprise-wide challenges.

What are your career aspirations?

To spend my energies trying to do something important versus trying to be someone important.
