Ask a Boothie: What's on Your Chicago Bucket List?
We asked our Full-Time MBA students what they want to check off their Chicago bucket list during their time at Booth.
Ask a Boothie: What's on Your Chicago Bucket List? You may be expecting study sessions and group projects in your MBA, but how do students decompress in between classes, recruiting, and more? We asked our Full-Time MBA students to give perspectives on how they have fun alongside their fellow classmates. We quickly found out that there is no shortage of activities and gatherings happening while you’re getting your MBA at Chicago Booth. Listen in as Boothies recount their experiences, from balancing work and play to establishing the friendships that they’ll take with them to graduation and beyond.
Matheus Vervloet: Booth is a lot of fun. I'd say it's the best of both worlds. You can be as academically oriented as you want, you can have as much fun as you want.
Nisha Saboo: Booth is a place where it really fosters work hard play hard mentality. There's tons of social events that happen.
Emma Lawler: Most of the student population lives in three buildings right in downtown Chicago. And so that means we have access to the entire city.
Jonathan Zhang: I also met most of my friends just through random happenstance. So that includes events that clubs put on, Random Walk, and then the Columbia trip, the Israel trek.
Maya Shaposhnik Cadena: And every time you meet another group of people, you're like "I love these people. How could I have not known them before"?
Ceara Jemison: And the students in the community understand your business school experience is more than just classwork. That it's the connections you make, the networking, and building lifelong friends. I've had a great time, and if I could rewind it all today, I would relive every single moment.
