The MBA journey can sometimes feel like a whirlwind of classes, projects, social activities, and recruiting. While bustling days can be common for MBA students, scheduling time to partake in wellness activities is essential for those looking to implement healthy lifestyle practices. At Chicago Booth, we recognize the importance of taking care of your wellbeing while working towards your MBA.
Booth Wellness came about in 2019 to support students on their wellness journey. In order to help students decompress from the pressures of MBA life, Booth Wellness regularly hosts events that incorporate wellness practices geared towards adding joy and relaxation to the community.
The Booth Wellness team is committed to fostering a culture of wellbeing among our future leaders. By hosting a variety of student-driven events and initiatives, they aim to not only educate but also cultivate individual and collective wellbeing. Booth Wellness believes that investing in your wellbeing is a sustainable way to achieve your goals, versus something to sacrifice along the way. For example, each quarter during midterms Booth Wellness hosts Wags for Wellness, a therapy dog event that gives Boothies an opportunity to take a “paws” (pun intended) from the busyness of the quarter. These furry friends from Canine Therapy Corps are trained to provide comfort, reduce stress, and spread good vibes – just what students need during those intense study sessions.
Giving students time with cuddly four-legged friends is just one of the many ways in which Booth Wellness continuously works to provide students with healthy lifestyle practices that they can implement into their wellness routines.
