Laila Haller

Laila Haller started working in banking and finance in late 2008, at the peak of the global financial crisis. Since then, she has risen to a position in wealth management and equity analysis with Albin Kistler. The global focus of the Executive MBA Program and The Chicago Approach made Booth stand out to her. “The analytical approach of the curriculum adds value in today’s data-driven world and allows students to challenge their logic.”

Shamim Maani

Shamim Maani’s career is rooted in the financial services industry. He has worked at a renowned Wall Street investment bank, a private endowment fund, and a global asset servicing firm. His current role is vice president in asset servicing for Northern Trust. He credits the supportive community with helping him determine that Booth was the right fit. “I felt that the Booth community would be an invaluable resource years after graduation.”

Mike Seo

Originally from South Korea, Mike Seo majored in English literature at the Korea Air Force Academy. While studying, he competed and won prizes as a senior member of the school’s hang-gliding team. He served as a co-pilot in the Republic of Korea Air Force for five years after graduation. Since discharging from the military, he has been working in the aerospace and defense sector for approximately 13 years. He credits the unique learning culture that values collaboration among the students as his reason to pursue an executive MBA at Booth.

Ryan Crisp

Assistant Director of Admissions

Ryan works with the Executive MBA Admissions team to recruit and counsel prospective students, and helps applicants discover the educational paths that align with their goals. Before joining Chicago Booth, he worked in admissions for the Biological Sciences Division at the University of Chicago. Ryan has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies from the University of Missouri and a Master of Education in Higher Education from Loyola University Chicago.
