I think Chicago Booth provides the perfect social environment. Numerous events. They kind of facilitate that social gathering and the social culture. I like to say we work hard, but we play hard too. I think a lot of people overlook that aspect before they make their decision. Booth provides an excellent environment for that. It’s fun, it’s giving, it’s exciting.

When I started school here, I made a priority that I'm going to join clubs, I'm going to try to find both social clubs and career focused clubs and really build my network around that. I started with mentoring, so I became, I first became a mentor and then after about two quarters into the school, I became a lead mentor, which I'm currently still running. I've also became part co-chair for the private equity entrepreneurship or venture capital club. So that was more was more career focused and participated in multiple MBA charity cup events. I was a captain of a softball team, basketball team. So definitely you got to mix a little bit of the career and the fun and it's been really interesting.
I moved to a completely different industry and job. I used to work in financial services as an analyst, and I moved to a strategic consulting role in management consulting.
Use the time to explore personal and professional possibilities that were once outside your realm.
People were very down to earth, and I found that I have a lot more in common with my fellow classmates than I had originally anticipated.
