Current Student
Kaori is a second-year student pursuing concentrations in Strategic Management, Finance, and Entrepreneurship. She received a bachelor's degree in Law from the University of Tokyo. Before Booth, she lived in Tokyo and worked for public financial service for about 5 years. She has enjoyed life at Booth as a co-chair of Japan Club and a volunteer tutor for young children in South Chicago etc.
Tatsuro Hanada
Current Student
Tatsuro is a second-year student at the joint degree program of MBA and Master’s in Computer Science at Booth. Prior to Booth, he was working in a securities company where he joined a corporate accelerator program to explore new businesses through FinTech. At Booth, he got involved in various real-world projects related to recent technologies such as Machine Learning, Blockchain and Digital Marketing. He serves as a co-chair of Booth FinTech club.
Hikaru Ihara
Current Student
Hikaru is a first-year student pursuing concentrations in Strategic Management and Business Analytics. He has joined the GPHAP program to learn different systems in the US, especially regarding hospital management, and to undergo interdisciplinary training. Prior to Booth, he worked as a physician specializing in diabetes.
Yusuke Oguro
Current Student
Yusuke is a first-year student pursuing concentrations in Entrepreneurship and Finance. He received his Bachelor of Education degree from The University of Tokyo. After nine years of experience in the reinsurance industry, he enrolled in MBA/MPCS (MS in Computer Science) joint degree program at Booth, realizing the importance of management skills, entrepreneurship, and technical literacy for future leaders of insurance industry. He is an active member of Booth soccer club and is training hard to win the US MBA soccer tournament before graduation.
Yusuke Takigawa

Yusuke is a first-year student and concentrates on Analytic Finance and Strategic Management. He received a bachelor's degree in Economics from The University of Tokyo. Prior to Booth, he worked in acquisition finance and private equity investment at Japanese bank in Tokyo and London for 8 years. He is engaged in various activities at Booth such as Investment Management Group and Japan Club.
Shuhei Nitta

Shuhei is a first-year student pursuing concentrations in Strategic Management and Finance. He joins Entrepreneur/Venture Capital Group and Booth Soccer Club. He received a bachelor's degree in Economics from Kyoto University. Before Booth, He worked as an M&A advisor at a Japanese securities firm for five years.
Hiroya Matsubara
Current Student
Hiroya is a first-year student at Chicago Booth, pursuing Concentrations in Finance, Economics, and International Business. Prior to Booth, he has held various roles in the public financial services sector, including financial analyst and economist. He enjoys classical music (of course the Chicago Symphony Orchestra!) in his free time.
Taro Yamanaka

Taro is a first-year student at Booth pursing concentrations in Finance and Accounting. Prior to Booth, he was a product manager at Mitsui & Co. Alternative Investments, where he was responsible for various alternative investment strategies. He started his career at Daiwa Securities. He received a B.A. in Law from Keio University.
