Adjunct Associate Professor of Marketing
Lil Mohan is an entrepreneur and academician with a passion for bringing great technology platforms and products to life. He brings to his teaching a variety of experiences from his work at Amazon, Intel, Motorola, Sun Microsystems, London Business School, and two successful high-tech start-up companies: Junglee and Snapstick.
Up until now, he and his teams have successfully brought to market several new platforms and products into the E- and M-Commerce, Retail, Mobile Services, and Digital Media and Entertainment sectors.
Lil is also Adjunct Professor of Marketing at the London Business School, the Indian School of Business (ISB), and the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, where he teaches courses in Product Management & New Product Development, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning & Natural Language Processing, FinTech, Digital & Social Media Marketing, and Mobile Commerce to MBA and Exec. MBA students. Additionally, he consults independently for technology companies in the areas of product design, product management, and marketing strategy.
Earlier, Lil was General Manager of Amazon's mobile platform BU, where he and his team built and brought to market the world’s first retail M-Commerce application Amazon Anywhere, enabling customers to find and buy products on their mobile devices. Before its acquisition by Amazon, he was part of the startup team at Junglee Corp., a web technology company, where he was head of product management & marketing for their e-commerce platform.
More recently, Lil was VP of Marketing at Snapstick Inc., a technology start-up company in the mobile, social games and entertainment space. Prior to that, he was Managing Director for Intel’s mobile wireless program in emerging markets, before which, he was VP of Business Strategy at Motorola's mobile phone division. Earlier, he has also been a partner at J.P. Morgan Partners Advisors, where he co-managed a venture fund.
Lil has a PhD in Electrical Engineering, with a specialization in AI from Purdue University, a Postgraduate Diploma in Management from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, India, and a BS in Electronics and Communications Engineering from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India.
