Biography
Jim Fasano spent over 18 years in Private Equity at CPP Investments, one of the largest investors in PE globally, based in Toronto and London. He spent most of that time with the Direct Private Equity team, including leading the team for three years. He was subsequently responsible for leading CPP Investment’s Funds, Secondaries & Co-investments and PE Asia groups; and later also served as Head of Portfolio Strategy. Prior to joining CPPIB in 2004, Mr. Fasano worked in the Investment Banking group at Merrill Lynch & Co., was a member of the Mergers & Acquisitions groups at RBC Capital Markets and Goldman Sachs, and was a Commissioned Officer in the Canadian Army. Mr. Fasano is currently a member of the board of directors at IQVIA and Asurion. He has an International MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a Bachelor of Engineering degree from the Royal Military College of Canada.
