The recipient of a Hong Kong Jockey Club Scholarship at Booth, Choi is honing his quantitative skills to expand his social impact.
Hong Kong is home to a booming international financial market and thriving industries in service, transportation, tourism, and entrepreneurship.
The Chicago Booth Hong Kong Executive MBA Program is designed for accomplished leaders with extensive professional experience. As an EMBA student at Booth, you’ll join a dynamic community of highly successful executives from around the globe. Chicago Booth is the only US business school to have permanent campuses on three continents, providing a uniquely global educational experience. Approximately 75 percent of our students travel from across the Asia-Pacific region, bringing practical management insights and diverse industry perspectives.
Learning from our award-winning faculty, you’ll immerse yourself in The Chicago Approach to business education and develop a deep understanding of core business principles. In just 21 months, you’ll graduate with a lifelong global network and a world-class MBA degree.
Classes in the Hong Kong EMBA Program are held in weeklong sessions every three to six weeks. The format allows you to continue working while simultaneously earning your MBA and networking with your global classmates. In the video below, Saranya Sriram, ’20, talks about her experience pursuing a master of business administration in Hong Kong at Chicago Booth.
Saranya Sriram: Through the MBA program, I developed very strong executive presence, strong time management, confidence, accountability, ownership, trust, and valuing relationships. To me, that has been the biggest ROI.
I work as a principal product lead for a very innovative, globally-distributed database on the Microsoft Azure Cloud. Coming from an extremely science STEM background, just having the opportunity to see industries outside software development itself was my first aha moment. The second thing from an EMBA program is also to be able to tie it back to my industry. The third one is valuing friendships. So I realized the difference between using the word networking versus building relationships. I'm very excited about my future career. Booth gave me the confidence to say that, "Hey, you can reinvent. You can solve problems. You can innovate. You can figure out how to work with people. Let's just get it done."
