Lucas D'Alessandro Class of 2015
Undergraduate school/major: I attended Boston College and majored in economics.
Concentrations: Strategic management and general management.
Activities: Member of the Wine Club, Epicurean Club, Business Solutions Group, Management Consulting Group, Latin American Business Group, and Dean's Student Admissions Committee.
Career plans: Post-MBA, I plan on following a career in consulting.
Why did you choose to attend Chicago Booth? Booth was the best fit for me for a variety of reasons, mainly related to the fact that the school is located in a great city to live in, there is an amazing community of people ready to share their great experiences and life-lessons even before being accepted by the program, and because there are outstanding resources in academics and career services that the school has to offer.
Use three adjectives to describe your experience at Chicago Booth: Transformative, challenging, and exciting.
What do you consider a "must visit" place or "must do" activity in Chicago? The Signature Room at 95th, the restaurant at the Hancock Building, a Chicago Bulls game, and Booth's Harper Center (particularly the art collection and the Winter Garden).
Ask me about...: Switching careers from finance to consulting, moving from South America to the US, my experience at Booth, and managing work/life balance.
