Why did you choose to attend Chicago Booth? The academic rigor and intellectual challenge that Booth presented was the leading reason. The fact that all our faculty are active in teaching was very appealing - it offered a chance to learn the subjects from the very best. Also, it goes without saying that Booth isn't known just for its education and career advancing success, but also for the significant academic contributions. Additionally, I liked the flexible curriculum that nonetheless guides students to cover all areas relevant to business. I enjoyed the concept that I could challenge myself to my level when fulfilling the requirements of our core education, but also get exposed to each of the unique and important areas. Our school's strength in attracting recruiters not only from finance and consulting, but also other career fields such as marketing, entrepreneurship, and nonprofit roles was the third important reason. Our school has a strong alumni representation across all fields of business, and offers a well-balanced education and a wide array of career opportunities.
Use three adjectives to describe your experience at Chicago Booth: Humbling, inspiring, and transformational.

Why did you choose to attend Chicago Booth? I thought Booth would be a very good school to balance my abilities and help me acquire hard skills that I found crucial, especially for working in dynamic, emerging markets. Its structured approach to education, the flexibility its curriculum provides, along with the incredible academic staff intrigued me very much - not only the fact that the professors are all rock stars and Nobel prize winners, but the fact that they approach all concepts in a practical business sense. Also, the school is very diverse. The social, professional, and academic environment it provides enables you to be versatile and strong at all fields. Last, but not the least, the students - from the friendly current students trying to chill me out before my interview to the dynamic classroom discussion I viewed during my campus visit - create a true sense of community and involvement.
Use three adjectives to describe your experience at Chicago Booth: Involved, flexible, and diverse.
What do you consider a "must visit" place or "must do" activity in Chicago? A must do is the Architectural Boat Tour! After you have seen the amazing urban scenery, I believe a stroll at a contrasting neighborhood, such as Bucktown, would be pleasant. Vintage shops and cafes there are amazing. For foodies out there, I really recommend The Girl and the Goat (Contemporary), Le Coloniel (Vietnamese), Untitled (Contemporary American), Lou Malnati's (Chicago style deep dish pizza), and Aroy Thai (Casual Thai). And if you are into jazz, you must grab a drink at a jazz bar, preferably Andy's.
Ask me about...: Switching careers and recruiting for a job outside the US.
