Chancy ChenUndergraduate school/major: I attended Fudan University and majored in economics.

Prior to Booth: I worked as a management Trainee at Mars and Wrigley and as a marketing manager at Yip's H.C. (Holdings) Ltd.

Concentrations: Analytic management, entrepreneurship, finance, and operations management.

Activities: Member of FEAD, the Energy Group, Management Consulting Group, Corporate Finance Group, and DSAC.

Career plans: I will be recruiting for consulting and corporate finance.

Why did you choose Chicago Booth? I chose Booth because I admire the rigorous academic training. For anyone with a major in economics, Booth and the University of Chicago is always on top of the list. I also like being in a big city. Booth has great Career Services and finally, I chose Booth for the ranking/reputation.

What do you consider a "must visit" place "must do" activity in Chicago? Random Walks and the Belgian Halloween Party.

Mandy HoUndergraduate school/major: I attended Wesleyan University and majored in economics.

Prior to Booth: I worked business development and strategy at an internet start-up in San Francisco and in strategy and technology consulting at Deloitte Consulting Hong Kong.

Concentrations: Accounting and finance.

Activities: Member of the Investment Banking Group, Dean's Student Admissions Committee, and Asia Pacific Group.

Career plans: I will be working in investment banking in New York.

Why did you choose Chicago Booth? I chose Booth for the inspiring people, tight-knit community, great conversations, top-notch faculty, worldwide network, and loyal alumni.

Use three adjectives to describe your experience at Chicago Booth: Transformative, rewarding, and fun.

What do you consider a "must visit" place or "must do" activity in Chicago? The Lincoln Park Zoo and the Shedd Aquarium for animal lovers! There are a ton of great restaurants in Chicago - Alinea, Blackbird, Hot Dougs, and Slurping Turtle, just to name a few. Also take time to check out the Art Institute, the "Bean", and Navy Pier.

Ask me about...: Living in the midwest, working/living outside of Hong Kong, being a career switcher, recruiting opportunities at Booth, handling business school coursework coming from a nonbusiness/liberal arts background, application process, managing a long distance relationship, and where to get decent Chinese food in Chi-town.

Undergraduate school/major: I attended The Chinese University of Hong Kong and majored in accounting.

Concentrations: Finance and strategic management.

Activities:  Member of the Asia Pacific Club, Greater China Club, Private Equity Group, Entrepreneurship and Venture Capital Group, Investment Banking Group, and the Boxing Club.

Career plans: I am recruiting for private equity.

Why did you choose Chicago Booth? I choose Booth based on its top-notch reputation both domestically and internationally. The school's vast resources and talents in finance, among others, match my career aspiration. The city itself offers the best architecture and food collections. Additionally, the school's flexible curriculum, diverse student groups, and collaborative culture add tremendous value to my progression.

What do you consider a "must visit" place or "must do" activity in Chicago? The Windy Cindy scavenger hunt cohort event is a must-do activity. You help your cohort get points towards cohort competition meanwhile enjoy a great tour around the city. Check out Lincoln Park Zoo where polar bears find their homes. Visit the "Bean" sculpture in Millennium Park to embrace the city.

Ask me about...: An investment banking career, recruitment outside US (in Hong Kong/China) and in the US, housing for international students, or generally how to make a transition to Chicago.

Undergraduate school/major: I attended the Chinese University of Hong Kong and majored in finance.

Concentrations: Entrepreneurship, finance, and strategic management.

Activities:  Member of the Asia Pacific Group, Greater China Club, Japan Club, Private Equity Group, Credit, Restructuring, Distressed Investing and Turnaround Group, Corporate Finance Group, Booth Technology Group, Giving Something Back, and PhotoBooth.

Career plans: I plan to go back to private equity after booth, but I also want to explore some entrepreneurship and tech opportunities in the US during the summer.

Why did you choose Chicago Booth? I choose Booth because the school and its faculty developed most of the modern finance theories, so I was excited to learn them from the sources.

What do you consider a "must visit" place or "must do" activity in Chicago? Grab a milk-tea from a Cantonese restaurant in Chinatown, enjoy a Bulls game at the United Center, and ride the Ferris wheel at Navy Pier.
